Focus and Scope

AUC Studia Territorialia is a leading peer-reviewed academic journal in the Czech Republic focusing on Area Studies. It covers history, social, political, and economic affairs of the nations of North America, Europe, and post-Soviet Eurasia in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The journal was founded in 2001.

Between 2001 and 2008, the journal appeared irregularly. Between 2009 and 2015, it was published quarterly, and since 2016, it has been published bi-annually.

The journal publishes scholarly articles, reviews, and reports on new books, conferences or current research. Both senior scholars and junior researchers are invited to submit contributions for publication in AUC Studia Territorialia. The journal considers unpublished manuscripts only, written in Czech or English.

The acronym AUC refers to the fact that the journal is part of the publication series Acta Universitatis Carolinae. The journal is published in Prague by the Charles University’s Karolinum Press. It is issued on behalf of the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
