Abstract

Denazification process in Austria in the first post-war year

The study deals with the process of denazification in Austria in the first postwar year (May 1945 – April 1946). The similarities and differencies in the denazifications in both Soviet and American occupation zones are compared. Expectations of the acteurs of the denacification process, its course, problems and results are subject of the analysis.
